Fishing Information

Do I need to bring fishing gear?

LEARN MORE

You will need a valid 2022 fishing license – which you can purchase online here.

Your licensed professional fishing guide will provide all rods, reels, tackle, and bait. KRSA has already provided gratuity for their services. In light of the king salmon conservation issues in South Central Alaska, we are fishing for silver salmon (coho).  Awards will be given for the top three heaviest fish caught over the two-day period. Silvers cannot be released.

Caught fish will be pooled and shared among the participants. After the Kenai River Classic each participant will receive a salmon gift box.

How do I get my fish home?

LEARN MORE

Fish are shared amongst participants.  Processed and frozen fish will be delivered to Anchorage. Due to limited freezer space, we ask that you work with us and have your fish picked up within 24 hours of notification or it may be donated to a local charity.

Out-of-town participants will have their fish shipped courtesy of FedEx. We must have a physical address for delivery (no P. O. Boxes).
