Soldotna, AK –The Kenai River Sportfishing Association (KRSA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Shannon Martin has been selected to serve as the Executive Director of KRSA. As Executive Director, Shannon will be responsible for achieving the organization’s mission as well as management of KRSA’s operations, public relations, and fundraising.
Shannon has served as KRSA’s Office/Events Manager for the last three years. During her tenure, she has renewed partnerships in the community and has demonstrated unwavering dedication to KRSA’s mission.
As a lifelong Alaskan, born in Soldotna, Shannon fishes the Kenai Peninsula year-round with her husband and three children. Shannon said, “During my time with KRSA, I’ve admired the attention to conservation and sport fishing advocacy. I’m looking forward to my new role and continuing to build KRSA’s advocacy efforts for conservation and sportfishing.”
The KRSA Board welcomes Shannon as the Executive Director and is looking forward to the organization’s continued success and growth under her leadership.
KRSA is a nonpartisan, nonprofit fishery-conservation organization that works to ensure the long-term health and sustainability of fish resources in the Kenai River and elsewhere in Alaska, through education and advocacy of sport and personal-use fisheries and the promotion of science-based fish management.
